Frewsburg Boys Track & Field Have Strong Finishes At Frostbite Relays
FRANKLINVILLE — The Frewsburg boys track & field team earned three second places, a third and a fifth at the Frosbite Relays on Saturday.
Claiming the second-place finishes were the 4×800-meter relay of Cody Kent, Noah Erickson, Nolan LeBaron and Chaos Hedges; the distance relay of Lucas Randolph, Kent, Hedges and LeBaron; and Eckert in the discus throw relay.
The Bears’ 4×400-meter relay of Erickson, Cole Vaughn, Eckert and Braedan Signorino finished third, while Kent placed fifth in the 1,600-meter relay.
As a team, the Frewsburg boys placed sixth out of 12 teams with 30 points. Niagara Falls was the winner with 96 points, four more than second-place Lancaster.
The top finish for the Frewsburg girls was the fourth-place finish of the 4×400-meter relay of Olivia Hallenbeck, Sopheia Nelson-Bennett, Miranda Cortes-Diaz and Genevieve Bussman. As a team, the girls finished tied for 12th with 9 points. Niagara Falls was first with 94.5, followed by Pioneer with 82.0.
