Southwestern Completes Perfect Division 1 Season
FREDONIA — Gianna Sirianni scored 9 points and Ellie Pearson added 6 during a 22-3 first quarter and Southwestern beat Fredonia 70-22 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls basketball Tuesday.
Sirianni finished with 17 points and Pearson had 12, while Marlana Cresanti chipped in 13 for the Trojans (16-2, 10-0), who finished a perfect league season.
“Our defense was outstanding tonight and helped us achieve our first goal of the season, league champions,” Southwestern head coach Kay Sirianni said. “We have two tough nonleague games left, against Sherman and Westfield, to get ready for the playoffs.”
Piper Walnicki led the Hillbillies (4-12, 3-6) with 9 points.

JAMESTOWN WINS ANOTHER IN LEAGUE
BUFFALO — A 18-6 second quarter helped Jamestown pull ahead of Williamsville North en route to a 52-43 Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 girls basketball victory Tuesday.
Aiyanna Stam led the Red & Green (11-8, 4-6) with 15 points and 16 rebounds; Payton Gibbs had 12 points; Carley Daniels had six assists and four steals; and Anna Engquist had nine rebounds.
Williamsville North pulled within three in the fourth quarter before back-to-back baskets by Nayani Reid pushed Jamestown’s lead back up to seven.
Ava Black led the Spartans (3-13, 1-9) with 13 points and Nicolette Zachery had 12.
Jamestown will return to action Saturday at noon against nonleague Cheektowaga. The Red & Green are hosting all alumni as the program celebrates the end of its 50th season.

WEST, IVETT LEAD PINE VALLEY
SOUTH DAYTON — Danielle West had 14 points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals as Pine Valley beat West Valley 53-16 in Division 4 action.
Sandy Ivett added 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Panthers (13-4, 10-1), who led 18-3 after the first quarter and 29-7 at halftime.
West Valley fell to 0-16 overall and 0-13 in the league.
MARAUDERS EARN FIRST WIN
DUNKIRK — Dunkirk picked up its first win of the season with a 46-43 nonleague win over Cattaraugus-Little Valley.
The Marauders (1-18, 0-10 CCAA D1) led 14-6 after the first quarter and 33-14 at halftime.
Ashley Collazo paced Dunkirk with 16 points, 18 rebounds and a steal; Emaladie Pacheco had 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and two assists; and Brooke Szymczak had five rebounds, three steals and three assists..
The Timberwolves, who are 4-8 in Division 4, fell to 6-12 overall.
