Randolph’s Hind Nets Career-High 42 Points

GOWANDA — Drew Hind poured in a career-high 42 points to go along with five assists and three steals as Randolph finished a perfect Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 boys basketball schedule with a 66-49 win over Gowanda.

Griffin Nelson had 13 points and Baker Huntington chipped in 12 rebounds and five steals for the Cardinals (16-2, 10-0).

Logan Ruff led the Panthers (11-9, 6-4) with 22 points and Trelin Warrior had 18.

SINCLAIRVILLE — Blake Weaver had 23 points as Frewsburg coasted past Cassadaga Valley 70-25 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 boys basketball Tuesday.

Kael Collver had 10 points, five rebounds, five blocked shots, two assists and two steals; Isaac Hultberg had 9 points, five assists, four steals and two rebounds; and Trent Lewis had five assists and three steals for the Bears (8-9, 7-3), who led 33-15 at halftime before a 22-3 third quarter.

Connor Main led the Cougars (0-16, 0-10) with 10 points.

CLYMER — Clymer outlasted Maple Grove in overtime 54-51 to secure a Division 2 victory.

Roman Wassink posted a double-double for the Pirates (8-10, 5-7) with 22 points, 10 rebounds, four steals and a blocked shot; Carson White collected seven rebounds, three assists and four steals; and Kameron Einink had seven assists and six steals.

Maple Grove (3-15, 1-11) was led by Liam Colburn with 20 points and Ethan Verbosky had 13.

OFF SALAMANCA

SALAMANCA — Falconer saw its halftime lead disappear in the third quarter and Salamanca was one frame away from an unblemished league schedule.

Instead of crumbling after being outscored 19-10 in the third, Falconer had the perfect response as Roger Markham scored 11 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Golden Falcons back 62-54 in Division 1 action.

Falconer (9-10, 4-8) outscored the Warriors 25-13 in the final quarter and sparking that was Nate Bailey hitting a pair of triples en route to a game-high 20 points. Roger Markham also finished with 17 points and Max Parmentier scored 10.

Salamanca (15-2, 10-1) was led by Maddox Isaac with 18 points, while both Jaxon Crouse and Payton Bradley scored 10.

PORTVILLE — Silver Creek was outscored 19-8 in the fourth quarter by Portville sending the Division 3 contest to overtime, but instead of a complete collapse, the Black Knights held off the Panthers for a 64-56 victory.

Brady Eick continued with his scoring touch, pouring 30 points and five rebounds for the Black Knights (8-8, 4-6); Simon White added 16 points and eight assists; Travis Brennan had seven assists and two steals; and Alan Hoelzle collected 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.

Portville (4-13, 3-7) was led by Aidan DeFazio with 21 points and two steals, and Chase Armstrong had a double-double with 16 points, 12 boards, three assists and a blocked shot.

SOUTH DAYTON –Camryn Slade followed up a career-high 30 points Monday with 28 points Tuesday as Pine Valley beat West Valley 81-40 in Division 4.

Noah Frontuto had 19 points, Aiden Bell added 11 points and James Greene chipped in 10 for the Panthers (7-9, 5-6), who led 40-19 at halftime.

Derik Schoepflin led the Wildcats (1-13, 0-11) with 26 points.

Carter Brink led the Panthers (15-2, 11-1) with 23 points and six assists to go along with two steals. Jordan Mescall had 14 points, five assists, four steals and two rebounds; Bryce Hinsdale had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists; Andrew Spiesman grabbed 19 rebounds; Tate Catanese had 11 rebounds; and Alex Barmore had nine rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots.
