Randolph Pours In 16 3-Pointers

RANDOLPH — Randolph shot 16 of 41 from 3-point range and beat Gowanda 83-27 on Senior Night in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 3 girls basketball action Monday.

Skylar Herington led the Cardinals (11-6, 8-1) with 24 points and nine steals to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. Randolph got contributions from all of its seniors as well: Quinn Pence had 19 points, including four 3-pointers, eight assists, four steals and two rebounds; Payton Morrison had 18 points on six 3-pointers, four rebounds, four steals and two assists; Sadie Steward had 10 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists; and Avery Morrison had a pair of 3-pointers.

The Cardinals, who led 27-4 after the first quarter, also got a 10-rebound performance from Gianna Bowles.

Addison Kota paced the Panthers (5-12, 0-9) with 10 points.

SHERMAN — Kelsey Wagner scored 23 points, collected six steals and had four assists as Sherman dominated Brocton 84-13 to finish with a perfect record in Division 2 action.

Teagan Gratto added another 19 points, six boards, four steals and three assists for the Wildcats (18-1, 14-0), Baya Oehlbeck added 10 points, Kellie Christensen collected six boards and three steals, Isa Kioko made four rebounds and Emmersen Crawford had four assists.

Brocton (1-17, 0-14) was led by Zoe Spiller with 6 points and five rebounds, Sha’Na Adams had six boards and Makayley Nelson collected another two rebounds.

FALCONER — Ali Haynes scored 8 points and Emma Rhinehart added 6 during a 19-10 third quarter as Portville spoiled Falconer’s Senior Night with a 41-32 Division 3 victory.

The Golden Falcons (5-11, 1-8) led 15-13 at halftime before a big third quarter from the Panthers (9-9, 4-6).

Haynes led Portville with 15 points and 11 rebounds; Rhinehart had 11 points and eight assists; and Ava Jo Edwards added four steals.

Ellyson Baglia led Falconer with 10 points; Nazariah Neal had four steals; and Addison Calimeri had two blocked shots as the Golden Falcons recognized seniors Augustine Krenzer, Haley Holmberg and Neal.

WEST VALLEY — Sandy Ivett had 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals as Pine Valley beat West Valley 44-11 in Division 4.

Sarah Kruszka added 9 points, four assists, four rebounds and four steals, while Danica Farnham had 9 points, seven rebounds, four steals, three assists and three blocked shots for the Panthers (12-4, 9-1), who led 25-6 at halftime.

West Valley fell to 0-14 overall and 0-11 in the league.

HUSKIES PULL

AWAY AFTER HALFTIME

DUNKIRK — Anna Bates had 18 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead Olean past Dunkirk 43-28 in Division 1 play.

The Huskies (4-14, 3-7) outscored the Marauders (0-18, 0-10) 19-4 in the third quarter after being tied 15-15 at halftime.

Emaladie Pacheco had 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Ashley Collazo had 10 points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots for Dunkirk.

SILVER CREEK — Maple Grove finished league play with a 49-28 win over Silver Creek, solidifying its position as the No. 2 team in the division.

The Red Dragons (14-4, 11-3) have two more regular season games, traveling to Cassadaga Valley and hosting Falconer next week.

Gracelin Stevens had 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals, while Maddy Blair had 9 points, 11 rebounds and two steals for the Black Knights (10-6, 7-6).

WARRIORS OUTLAST GATORS IN OT

ALLEGANY — Maliyah Foster scored 12 points including the only field goal in overtime to lift Salamanca over Allegany-Limestone 45-44 in Division 1 action.

Makenzie Crouse added another 11 points for Salamanca in the win.

Allegany-Limestone was led by Addie Fisher with 12 points and Serena Frederick added 10.
