Jackals Win Pair Of Weekend Home Games
The Jamestown Jackals had a perfect weekend, capped by Sunday’s 127-109 Basketball Super League victory over the London Lightning at the Physical Education Complex.
Seven Jackals (6-6, 6-6) scored in double figures, led by Tyshon Pickett with 22 points. Emmett Duvall added 16 points and 12 rebounds; Evan Hinson chipped in 15 points; Lorenzo Collier and Davin Miller both had 12 points; and Derrick Colter and Devante Jamison each scored 11.
Jamestown led 32-23 after the first quarter and 68-49 at halftime.
Joel Kindred paced the Lightning (10-7, 8-7) with 29 points, Paul Parks had 22, Calvin Godfrey added 15 and Billy White contributed 14

JACKALS PREVAIL
Derrick Colter led six players in double figures with 22 points as the Jackals held off the Glass City Wranglers 106-98 at the Physical Education Complex.
Deon Stroud added 19, Tyshon Pickett, Brent Price and Zakeem Davis all had 12, and Devante Jamison chipped in 10 for the Jackals, who broke a halftime tie by outsourcing the Wranglers 32-23 in the third quarter.
Jamestown shot 41 of 88 (47%) from the floor compared to 35 of 91 (38%) for Glass City.
Leading the way for the Wranglers were Dalonte Brown with 18 points, Javon Reliford with 17, Devonte Pratt with 14, Joshua Rivers with 13, Clemmye Owens with 12 and Kyle Meyer with 11. Brown also brought down a game-high 13 rebounds.
