A big second half and a balanced scoring attack led the Jamestown Jackals to a 119-105 victory over the London Lightning in a Basketball Super League game at the Physical Education Complex at Jamestown Community College on Sunday.
The Jackals, who trailed 55-50 at halftime, outscored the Lightning 69-50 after the break to post a comfortable win and raise their record to 10-7 on the season.
Leading the way for Jamestown was Derrick Colter, who poured in 33 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Tyshon Pickett added 20 points, and Tafari Beckford and Devante Jamison both had 18.
The Jackals shot 49 of 95 from the field and held a 52-37 rebounding advantage.
For London JR Holder had 25 points, Calvin Godfrey 19, Tonzell Handy 15, Marcus Ottey 13 and Yaw Obeng-Mensah 10.
