Jackals Lead Nearly Whole Game Vs. Wranglers

The Jamestown Jackals went ahead 14-12 on an Evan Hinson 3-pointer midway through the first quarter and led the remainder of the game in a 132-117 victory over the Glass City Wranglers in Basketball Super League action Friday at Jamestown Community College’s Physical Education Complex.

Jamestown’s top two scorers came off the bench. Deon Stroud finished with 27 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists, while Braden Bell had 24 points, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots and two assists.

Derrick Colter added 23 points; Tyshon Pickett had 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists; Devante Jamison had 12 points, four assists and three steals; and Hinson had 10 points and five rebounds for the Jackals.

Alex Heath came off the bench to lead Glass City with 23 points, Javon Reliford had 18 points and Kyle Meyer had 17 points.

Jamestown will head to Kitchener, Ontario, to take on the KW Titans on Monday afternoon at 2.
