Hind Reaches 2K Points In Randolph Boys Win

HAMBURG — Drew Hind eclipsed 2,000 points for his career as Randolph beat nonleague Hamburg 66-41 in boys basketball Thursday.
Hind entered the game needing 24 points for 2,000 and reached the mark with his final bucket of the third quarter. He finished with a game-high 29 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. Drew became the second Randolph boy to reach 2,000 career points, following his brother, Tyler.
Griffin Nelson added 15 points and six assists for the Cardinals (17-2, 10-0 CCAA D3).
“Griffin was the difference in the game. He finished strong, hit some shots and played great defense,” Randolph head coach Kevin Hind said. “That was probably his best all-around game.”
Kevin McElwain had 12 points and Baker Huntington had eight rebounds in the victory.

BRINK IS CLUTCH FOR PANAMA
PANAMA — Carter Brink scored late in regulation to send the game to overtime and then added 5 of Panama’s 9 overtime points as the Panthers beat nonleague Falconer 72-68.
Brink finished with a team-high 22 points, while Bryce Hinsdale and Jordan Mescall added 14 points apiece for Panama (16-2, 11-1 CCAA D2).
Roger Markham led the Golden Falcons (9-11, 4-8 CCAA D1) with 33 points.

Trent Lewis chipped in nine assists, four rebounds and three steals, while Taran Laska had 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals for Frewsburg (9-9, 7-3 CCAA D3), which trailed 46-43 entering the fourth quarter.

HENRY HAS CAREER NIGHT
MAYVILLE — Nate Henry scored a career-high 31 points on his Senior Night as Chautauqua Lake beat Pine Valley 76-53 in nonleague action.
Henry, who was honored with fellow seniors Brendan Klossner and Yazan Abuhmeidan, made six of the Eagles’ (11-8, 8-4 CCAA D2) 13 3-pointers. Nick Jacobson had 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, to go along with five blocked shots in the win. Klossner had 12 points and six assists; Abuhmeidan had nine rebounds and five blocked shots; and Carson Fairbank had nine rebounds and six assists.
Camryn Slade and James Greene led the Panthers (7-10, 5-6 CCAA D4) with 14 points apiece, Noah Frontuto had 13 points and Aiden Bell chipped in 10 points.

EICK HAS ANOTHER BIG NIGHT
SILVER CREEK — Brady Eick scored at least 30 points for the third consecutive game as Silver Creek beat nonleague Cattaraugus-Little Valley 75-53.
Eick, who set a Silver Creek record with 47 points last Saturday against North Collins and followed that up with 30 points Tuesday against Portville, poured in 33 points to go along with 10 rebounds and two steals Thursday.
Simon White added 21 points, six assists, five steals and three rebounds, while Travis Brennan had 8 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals for the Black Knights (9-8, 4-6 CCAA D3).
The Timberwolves, who finished 2-10 in CCAA Division 4, fell to 4-15 overall.
