Forestville Improves To 8-1 In Division 4

WEST VALLEY — Jacob Anderson had 15 points, six assists and four steals to lead Forestville to a 58-26 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 4 boys basketball win over West Valley on Wednesday.

Manny Sanchez added 12 points, six steals and six assists; Patrick Reilly had 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals; and Jack Spengler had 11 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Hornets (11-4, 8-1), who led 23-6 after the first quarter.

Derik Schoepflin led the Wildcats (1-11, 0-10) with 13 points.

PANAMA SCORES 97 AGAIN

GOWANDA — Panama scored 97 points for the second straight game in a 97-76 nonleague win over Gowanda.

Carter Brink led the way for Panama (13-2, 9-1 CCAA D2) with 30 points, five assists and five steals, while Alex Bamore had 23 points and 14 rebounds. Michael Horton chipped in 16 points; Bryce Hinsdale had 15 points, four assists, two steals and two rebounds; and Tate Catanese grabbed 13 rebounds for the winners, who led 53-35 at halftime.

Trelin Warrior led all scorers with 35 points, while Logan Ruff and Winter Rivera scored 15 points apiece for Gowanda (11-7, 6-2 CCAA D3).

Panama beat Brocton 97-60 in its previous game Monday.

NORTH COLLINS — Camryn Slade scored 19 points and James Greene added 12 as Pine Valley beat North Collins 49-41 in Division 4 action.

The Panthers (5-8, 3-5) led 26-19 at halftime and took control with a 12-6 third quarter.

Scott Armbruster led the Eagles (4-10, 4-5) with 18 points, including five 3-pointers.
