Gianna Sirianni and Ellie Pearson scored 17 points apiece to lead Southwestern to a 65-29 victory over Olean in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls basketball game Wednesday.

Sirianni also collected five assists; Pearson grabbed six rebounds and had three steals; Braya Beaver scored 10 points and dished out four assists; and Marlana Cresanti added 7 points, six steals, five boards and four assists. The Trojans are now 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the division.

Alaina Hirliman led Olean (1-9, 0-2) with 8 points.

SLIWA SHINES FOR HORNETS

FORESTVILLE — Carliene Sliwa scored 25 points, made seven steals and five rebounds to lead Forestville past Cattaraugus-Little Valley 60-35 in a CCAA Division 4 game.

Liz Case provided a double-double for the Hornets (4-2, 3-1) with 23 points and 12 rebounds, Ingrid Gibson collected eight rebounds and five steals, both Iris Muck and Chymerah Genovese had four steals and Madison Hall added five rebounds.

The Timberwolves (4-4, 2-2) were led by Bernie Butcher with 10 points and Kadie Benzel was the top rebounder.
