Poor 1st Half Costs Falconer Vs. Dunkirk
FALCONER — The Dunkirk boys basketball team outscored Falconer 24-8 in the first half which proved to be plenty of cushion as it held on for the 50-45 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 victory on Tuesday.
Greg Orcutt paced the Marauders (4-9, 2-6) with 24 points and K’Vion Tell added another 17.
Falconer (8-8, 3-6) was led by Zach Markham with 14, while Roger Markham scored 13 and Nate Bailey provided another 11.

BEARS HOLD OFF SILVER CREEK
SILVER CREEK — Blake Weaver had 18 points, 10 rebounds and two steals to lead Frewsburg past Silver Creek 57-52 in Division 3 action.
Max Fisher scored 7 points, including a three-point play, during the fourth quarter for the Bears (5-8, 4-2), who led 43-35 entering the final eight minutes.
“We were pretty stagnant to start the fourth quarter,” Frewsburg head coach Kyle Nelson said. “His transition really got us going.”
Taran Laska had 11 points; Fisher finished with 9 points; Kael Collver had 8 points, 13 rebounds, four blocked shots and three steals; and Trent Lewis had 8 points, five assists and three steals in the win.
Simon White led the Black Knights (4-7, 1-5) with 15 points and Brady Eick had 10.

Carson White added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Kameron Einink had six assists and five rebounds for Clymer (7-6, 4-4), which led 16-7 after the first quarter and put the game away with an 18-9 third quarter.
