F/S/J/F Swimmers Have Big Day At Yeti Invitational
WEBSTER — Frewsburg/Southwestern/Jamestown/Falconer posted a pair of winning relays and four individual victories at the Yeti Invitational on Saturday at the Webster Acquatic Center.
Landon Frederes, Conner Dean, Grady Moore and Miles Moore won the 200-yard medley relay with a state-qualifying time of 1:34.83 seconds, more than four seconds faster than second-place Pittsford.
In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Dean, Grady Moore, Daniel Peterson and Miles Moore won with a state-qualifying time of 1:24.46, just less than two-hundredths faster than second-place McQuaid Jesuit.
Dean took first place in the 200-yard freestyle with a state-qualifying time of 1:41.39, more than two seconds faster than second-place Luke McCormack of McQuaid Jesuit. Frederes was fifth in 1:51.31.
Miles Moore won the 50-yard freestyle in a state-qualifying time of 20.91 seconds, more than a second faster than second-place Jack Frenzel of Webster. Grady Moore was sixth (22.49) and Peterson was eighth (23.13).
Miles Moore also won the 100-yard freestyle in 46.85 seconds, which was nearly a second faster than McCormack in second place. Peterson was eighth (51.64).
Dean took another first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a state-qualifying time of 51.37 seconds. McQuaid Jesuit’s Ian Miller was second (52.21) and Frederes was fourth (53.90).
Frederes, Logan Johnson, Caleb Webster and Peterson were fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:30.78. McQuaid Jesuit won in 3:12.52.
Grady Moore was sixth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.26 seconds.
