Krenzer, Baglia Lift Falconer Girls

FORESTVILLE — Augustine Krenzer turned in quite a performance on the hardwood Wednesday evening.

Ellyson Baglia did, too.

Together, the pair led Falconer to a 53-34 victory over Forestville in a nonleague basketball game.

Krenzer scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out five assists, and had five steals and three blocks, while Baglia contributed 16 points, 11 rebounds and four steals.

Sydnee Snow added six steals and Nazariah Neal added three steals to help the Golden Falcons improve to 3-2 on the season.

The Hornets (2-2) were paced by Carilene Sliwa with 13 points and six steals, Elizabeth Case added 11 points and six boards; and Madison Hall and Chymerah Genovese grabbed eight and seven rebounds respectively.

SALAMANCA — Leilene McComber scored a career-high 22 points to lead Salamanca to a 40-25 victory over Franklinville in a nonleague basketball game.

The Warriors led 17-13 at halftime, but then outscored the Panthers 23-12 after the break to win going away.

COUGARS FALL

CATTARAUGUS — Cameron Katilus scored 10 points, but Cassdaga Valley fell on the road to Cattaraugus-Little Valley 37-34 in a nonleague game.

The Cougars are now 0-3 on the season while the Timberwolves improve to 2-3.

EAGLES TRIM PANTHERS

SOUTH DAYTON — Behind 15 points apiece by Blake Smith and Dominic Polino, Ellicottville downed Pine Valley 51-41 in a Division 4 game.

Leading the way for Pine Valley was Trent Ivett with 14 points and Cameron Slade with 9.
