Jamestown Wins Consolation Game At Keenan Memorial
BUFFALO — Dominic Gonzalez poured in 26 points and Jaydian Johnson added 21 to propel Jamestown to a 76-42 victory over Lyons in the consolation game of the Tom Keenan Memorial Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
“Good bounce-back game,” Red & Green coach Billy Miley said. “We wore them out in the second half.”
Less than 24 hours after falling to host Canisius 65-58 in a first-round game, Jamestown (2-1) led Lyons 27-21 at halftime, but then outscored the Section V school 49-21 after the break to win going away.
Gonzalez scored 16 points and Johnson added 13 during the second-half blitz. Elijah Farmer finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks; Gonzalez added four steals; and Johnson collected seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.
J.J. Johnson led Lyons with 20 points.

Jacob Anders and Jack Spengler split 12 of Forestville’s 18 fourth-quarter points as the Hornets beat Maple Grove 48-47 in nonleague action Saturday.
The Red Dragons (0-2) led 36-30 entering the final eight minutes, but Forestville won the fourth quarter 18-11.
Anders led the Hornets (4-0, 2-0 CCAA D4) with 19 points to go along with four rebounds, four steals and two assists; William Duliba added 12 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists; Spengler had 8 points and 10 rebounds; and Manny Sanchez contributed seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Aiden Dahlberg paced Maple Grove with 13 points, Camden Lombardo had 12 and Liam Colburn had 11.
