Trojans Pour In 7 Goals Vs. Fredonia
WEST ELLICOTT — Seth Vaughn netted a hat trick, while Connor Young had a goal and three assists as Southwestern beat Fredonia 7-1 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division I boys soccer action at Charles A. Lawson Field on Monday night.
Grey Kidder scored from Young in the 22nd minute and Vaughn scored in the 27th minute for the Trojans (13-1-0, 8-0-0).
After halftime, Young scored in the 49th minute, Vaughn scored from Young in both the 50th and 55th minutes, Ryan Ohl scored in the 64th minute and Judd Harris scored in the 78th minute.
The Hillbillies fell to 5-5-2 overall and 4-3-1 in the league.
HENRY HAS BIG DAY
MAYVILLE — Nathan Henry had two goals and an assist to lead Chautauqua Lake past Silver Creek/Forestville 5-1 in Division III.
Henry scored from Brendan Klossner in the 23rd minute and Travis Horvath in the 26th minute before assisting on a Kameron Press goal in the 30th minute.
After halftime, Press scored from Michael Horvath in the 50th minute and Klossner scored from Aden Gollhardt in the 78th minute.
The Eagles improved to 7-5-0 overall and 5-2-0 in the league, while the Black Knights fell to 4-6-0 overall and 0-5-0 in the league.
FREEMAN NETS 5 GOALS
RANDOLPH — Cooper Freeman scored the first four goals of the game, added a fifth in the second half and also had an assist as Randolph blanked Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley 9-0 in Division II play.
Freeman’s goals came from Drew Hind in the fifth minute, Griffin Nelson in the eighth minute, Cody Slade in the 20th minute, Gavin Senn in the 21st minute and Slade in the 48th minute.
Slade scored from Drew Hind in the 22nd minute, Senn scored from Freeman in the 26th minute, Hind scored from Slade in the 43rd minute and Isaac Pihlblad scored from Senn in the 51st minute for the Cardinals (11-2-1, 7-1-0).
Delsin Tallchief made two saves for Randolph, while Carter Light made 14 saves for the Warwolves (1-12-0, 1-7-0).
PORTVILLE DOMINATES
SOUTH DAYTON — Braedon Carter had a pair of goals and Brady German had four assists to power Portville past Pine Valley/Gowanda 8-0 in Division II.
Colin German, Patrick Perkins, Owen Faulkner, Gabe Evans, Conner Roulo and Parker Keim each added a goal for Portville (9-1-2, 7-1-0).
Pine Valley/Gowanda fell to 1-10-0 overall and 1-7-0 in the league.
GRIFFIN HAS THREE ASSISTS
ALLEGANY — Luke Griffin assisted on three of Allegany-Limestone’s four goals in a shutout of Dunkirk.
Zander Parsons scored from Griffin in the 15th minute, Dillon Wagner scored from Griffin in the 41st minute and Parsons scored from Griffin again in the 59th minute. Mat Burnett scored the final goal for the Gators (10-2-0, 7-1-0)) from Noah Hatch in the 63rd minute.
The Marauders fell to 3-9-1 overall and 1-7-0 in the league.
