Fredonia Outlasts Trojans In Five Sets
WEST ELLICOTT — Londyn Wilmot and Maddie Saunders led Fredonia to a five-set victory over Southwestern in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 volleyball match on Thursday.
Wilmot collected 13 kills, seven aces, five blocks and eight digs, and Saunders added eight aces 25 assists and 16 digs in the Hillbillies’ 15-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-11, 15-12 win.
Elizabeth Morrison chipped in seven kills and 12 digs, and Laylen Rollins contributed four kills, three aces and 18 digs for Fredonia (6-4, 5-3).
For the Trojans, Bella Sirianni led the way with 22 assists, 10 digs and two kills; Siri DuBloishad four aces, 13 kills, two blocks and five digs; Payton Swartz chipped in 25 digs and one ace; and Reagan Stutzman added six kills and four blocks.
HIND SHINES FOR RANDOLPH
RANDOLPH — Aliza Hind had 23 assists, 11 digs and three kills, while Donnilynn Sheldon had 17 kills, two digs and two blocks as Randolph swept Cattaraugus-Little Valley 26-24, 25-17, 25-22 in Division 2 action.
Avery Morrison chipped in 12 digs and two aces for the Cardinals (8-3, 6-2).
The Timberwolves fell to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the league.
EAGLES SWEEP HINSDALE
ELLICOTTVILLE — Natalee Leiper had 11 kills, nine digs and five aces as Ellicottville swept Hinsdale 25-17, 25-14, 25-8 in Division 2.
Ande Northrup had 17 assists, five aces, three digs and two kills for the Eagles (7-6).
JAMESTOWN DOWNS DUNKIRK
Jamestown defeated 25-23, 25-10, 25-16 in a Division 1 match.
The Red & Green also captured the junior match in three sets.
