“The Battle of the Businesses reflects just another way that the Y is so much more,” said John Barber, Jamestown Area YMCA Interim CEO. “What at a surface level looks like just a competition among businesses is a springboard for co-workers getting to know each other and a platform for our hard-working community to meet others in completely different fields and professions. This past week, the great sponsors, staff and volunteers at the Jamestown Area YMCA used fun to build bridges between varied business sectors and strengthen their staff member relationships.”
The Battle was sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York, Greater Chautauqua Frederal Credit Union and Eventz by Scott.
The Battle of the Businesses will return in September 2025. To receive an informational packet or have Battle pictures to share, contact the Lakewood YMCA at 716-763-0303 or email Scott Mekus at smekus@eventzbyscott.com.
