Unified sports made its debut within the Jamestown athletics program as the Red Raiders unified basketball team took on the Fredonia Hillbillies at McElrath Gymnasium on Tuesday.

Jamestown’s first game was about as exciting as it could get with the Red Raiders going to overtime and winning on their final possession of the extra quarter. With less than 10 seconds left, Angel Oquendo threw up a shot from beyond the arc and it landed to give Jamestown a 37-34 lead that would stand as Fredonia missed its last shot.

Oquendo finished with a game-high 11 points, Robert Miller added 8 points and Gamaliel Figueroa scored 6 points for Jamestown.

Fredonia was paced by Joshua Priolette with 8 points, Julian Ocasio scored 6 points, and both Noah Tarbell and Cole Rizzo added 4 points.

Starting at $2.99/week.
