Kelly’s Impressive Year Continues
Randolph Senior Captures 1,000M, 1,600M At Houghton University
HOUGHTON — Roan Kelly continues to shine.
Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, on a track or through the woods, the Randolph junior is tough to beat.
On Saturday morning, Kelly won the 1,000 meters in 2:35.47 for Falconer/Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley/Frewsburg/Randolph at the Section VI A/C Inter-Divisional meet hosted by Houghton University at the Kerr-Pegula Field House.

Kelly also won the 1,600 meters in 4:37.18.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Collin Riel won the 55-meter dash in 6.61 while teammate Landon Stormer was third.
Stormer then won the 300-meter dash in 38.14 while Jamestown’s Noah Burch was fourth.
Salamanca’s Arlen Newark won the 600 meters in 1:25.51 with F/MG/CV/F/R’s Jacob Constantino in third.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Clayton Crouse won the pole vault at a height of 12 feet, 3 inches while Jamestown’s Avery Thagard was third.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Gracie Conlan won the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 5¢ inches and was third in the long jump.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Corinne Inkley won the pole vault at a height of 9 feet, 9 inches.
F/MG/CV/F/R won the boys 800-meter relay in 1:38.34, more than 2 seconds faster than second-place Jamestown.
Salamanca won the boys 1,600-meter relay in 3:41.68, nearly 12 seconds faster than second-place F/MG/CV/F/R.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Cody Kent was second in the 3,200 meters with a time of 10:38.12.
F/MG/CV/F/R was also second in the boys 3,200-meter relay with a time of 9:12.29.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Gavin Stearns was second in the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches.
Jamestown’s Madison Burgess was third in the 55-meter dash.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Olivia Hallenbeck was third and teammate Paiden Wittmeyer was fourth in the 55-meter hurdles.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Brea Rubrecht was third in the weight throw.
F/MG/CV/F/R was third in the girls 800-meter relay and Jamestown was fourth. Jamestown was also fourth in the 1,600-meter relay.
Salamanca’s Isabella Milks finished fourth in the high jump.
F/MG/CV/F/R’s Sopheia Nelson-Bennett took fourth in the 1,500-meter race walk.
Later Saturday, the B-D Inter-Divisional took center stage.
Dunkirk/Silver Creek/Forestville won the boys 1,600-meter relay in 3:45.03, more than 9 seconds faster than second-place Cheektowaga.
D/SC/F’s Alex Procknal was third in the long jump and teaammate Quanyay Thomas was fourth.
Fredonia/Westfield’s Gigi Ferro was second in the high jump at 4 feet, 10 inches and fourth in the 300-meter dash.
Ferro’s teammate Mariella Russo was fourth in the high jump and another teammate, Callie Draggett, was fourth in the shot put.
