Fredonia Easily Gets By Silver Creek/Forestville

FREDONIA — No. 3 Fredonia scored three times in each half en route to a 6-0 shutout of No. 14 Silver Creek/Forestville in a Section VI Class B2 prequarterfinal girls soccer game Wednesday night at SUNY Fredonia.

Rylee Beers scored twice for the Hillbillies, who will host No. 6 Springville in a 4:30 p.m. quarterfinal Friday back at SUNY Fredonia.

Beers opened the scoring from Emma Patterson in the second minute before Callie Draggett scored from Sophia Gullo in the 22nd minute. Four minutes later, Piper Wolnicki made it 3-0 from Gullo.

After halftime, Gullo scored in the 45th minute, Beers scored from Claire Marshall in the 60th minute and Haylee Babar scored in the 68th minute.

Sarah Davis made one save in net for the clean sheet.

SCHUMAKER NETS HAT TRICK

WESTFIELD — Mackenzie Schumaker netted a hat trick to lead No. 7 Westfield/Brocton to a 7-0 Class C prequarterfinal victory over No. 10 JFK at the NorthLake Family Recreation Complex.

Schumaker scored from Naomi Ottey in the second minute, Makayley Nelson in the 63rd minute and Cassidy Phillips in the 78th minute for the Wolverines, who will travel to Portville to take on the second-seeded Panthers in Friday’s quarterfinals.

Carley Wilson scored from Phillips in the 34th minute and Colie Bundy scored from Wilson in the 35th minute as Westfield/Brocton led 3-0 at halftime.

Sophia Wolfe scored from Phillips in the 77th minute and Olivia Wolfe scored from Phillips in the 79th minute.

Emma Busuladzic earned the clean sheet in net.

T’WOLVES EDGE PINE VALLEY/GOWANDA

CATTARAUGUS — Madison Spink scored twice to lead No. 8 Cattaraugus-Little Valley over No. 9 Pine Valley/Gowanda 3-0 in a Class C prequarterfinal.

Spink scored from Candice Brown in the 15th minute and Evelyn Janora made it 2-0 in the 19th minute for the Timberwolves, who will travel to Wilson to take on the top-seeded Lakewomen in Friday’s quarterfinals.

Spink scored from Kora Sentz in the 63rd minute.

Onalee Osgood made five saves for Cattaraugus-Little Valley and Destiny Lindquist made 14 saves for the Panthers.

FORTUNA SHINES FOR GATORS

ALLEGANY — Payton Fortuna had four goals as No. 5 Allegany-Limestone beat No. 12 Salamanca 7-0 in a Class B2 prequarterfinal.

Fortuna scored from Abby Peck in the fifth minute, but that was the lone goal of the first half for the Gators, who will travel to Alden to take on the fourth-seeded Bulldogs in Friday’s quarterfinals.

After halftime, Addie Fisher scored from Sydney McClelland in the 42nd minute; Fortuna scored twice in the 47th minute; Mia Herzog scored in the 63rd minute; Fisher scored in the 70th minute; and Fortuna scored from Sydney McClelland in the 73rd minute.

Chloe Baker made two saves in net for Allegany-Limestone.

DUNKIRK ELIMINATED

EAST AURORA — Anna Bean had four goals and three assists while Reagan Michel chipped in four goals of her own as No. 5 East Aurora beat No. 12 Dunkirk 12-0 in a Class B1 prequarterfinal.

Gabbi Barusic had two goals; Saige Ticen had a goal and an assist; Amarah Liddle had a goal; Ceciella Giallella had four assists; Jada Tresmond had two assists; and Catherine Jantzi and Raegan Kavcic each had one assist for the Blue Devils, who will travel to Elma to take on No. 4 Iroquois on Friday.
