10 Striders Qualify For Regional Championships
ROCHESTER — Ten local athletes participated in the USA Track & Field association championships Saturday at Nazareth College.
All 10 placed in the top three in their age-grouped events to qualify for the regional championships July 7-10 at Slippery Rock University.
Talon Rowland took first in the 400 meters with a time of 51.66 seconds.
Vincent Sanfilippo was first in the triple jump with a distance of 12.28 meters.
Mattie Evans Brown was first in the high jump (1.42 meters) and third in the 400-meter hurdles (1:18.07).
Collin Riel was second in the 100 meters (11.33) and third in the 200 meters (23.11).
Landon Stormer was second in the 200 meters (22.59) and third in the 100 meters (11.27).
Gracie Barber was second in the long jump (4.39 meters) and third in the triple jump (8.81 meters).
Corrine Inkley was second in the long jump (4.52 meters) and third in the pole vault (3.12 meters).
Ella Ekstrom was second in the 100 meters (13.92) and second in the triple jump (9.86 meters).
Zayne Cline was second in the 110-meter hurdles (18.26) and Hannah Madonia was second in the 400-meter hurdles (1:15.15).
