Bush Industries, Rand Precision Claim Tuesday Events
Bush Industries won the Battle of the Businesses Large Division volleyball tournament at the Jamestown YMCA while Rand Precision Machining pedaled to first place in the Expresso bike relay event Tuesday evening.
Bush Industries’ volleyball team of captain Amy Hook, Blaire Borst, Lance Deming, Dave Nowicki, Nate Nowicki, Jeff Rupp, Dan Courtney and Chris Waclawski ran the court from the start. The squad finished the night by beating Frewsburg Central School 21-19.
Falconer Central Schools went home with third-place honors.
In the Expresso bike relay, Rand’s Kris Burch and Ethan Rapp ended their cycle with a combined score of 12:54. GA Family Services finished second followed by Jamestown Bar Association/City Court in third.
Overall, Falconer Central Schools (740) and JBA (465) lead the Large and Small Divisions, respectively,
The YMCA Battle continues this evening with the Women’s Miniature Golf event for both divisions at 6 p.m. at the Pro Putt, behind Dairy Queen, in Warren, Pennsylvania.
