Sanctioned by the Junior Olympic and Excel New York State Qualifier, the event will feature gymnasts throughout Western New York and Pennsylvania.

Program director Sherri Melson wanted to create an event which embraces the community’s rich comedic roots and bring recognition to the new Comedy Center that is located in Jamestown. This meet will showcase some of the local and surrounding area’s finest athletes on Saturday and Sunday. The Comedy Classic kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday with the level 2 unsanctioned gymnasts and will continue with level 2 sanctioned at 3 p.m.

The main event, scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, will have upper level Xcel and level 5-10 gymnasts. This session will feature Flyers high-level optional program, which includes Flyers level 7 gymnasts Lauren Allen and Corinne Inkley and level 8 gymnasts Kayla Allen, Cassidy Allen, and Madison Kehe. Also, Chautauqua County’s only level 10, Samantha Gilbert, will be competing.

On Sunday, the large team level 3 gymnasts will start at 8 a.m., small team level 3 & Xcel silver gymnasts at 11:30 a.m., and the level 4 and Xcel gold gymnasts at 2:15 p.m.

Admittance fees are $8 for adults, $5 for veterans, and children under 12 are free. Flyers Gymnastics is located at 1765 Lindquist Drive in Falconer across from Land Pro.
