Time for the Left to Face Reality

To The Reader’s Forum:
I am a Chautauqua County resident who’s just about had it with the recent flood of outrage coming from the left. If you’re on social media or reading the latest protest signs and letters to the editor, you’d think the world is ending. They’re out here screaming that democracy is dead, trying to whip everyone into a frenzy and convince us to be scared too–but let me tell you, that’s not the mood around here. Most of us are hopeful for the first time in a long time.
The last election wasn’t just a win for Trump and Congressman Langworthy–it was a flat-out rejection of the far-left’s out-of-touch, overreaching agenda. People had enough. We lived through four years of chaos: an open border flooding our towns with drugs and crime, gender ideology pushed on kids, irreversible surgeries being performed on children, men competing in women’s sports, and a government that consistently sided with criminals over law enforcement. And don’t even get me started on the reckless spending–it was out of control. Trillions thrown around with no accountability. Talk about being scared! That almost ruined the country in real time.
And yet, now that voters have chosen a new direction, the same people responsible for that mess are throwing tantrums and warning of “the end of democracy.” Come on. Let’s not forget–it’s pretty much agreed on both sides now that Biden wasn’t mentally fit to serve, but the Democratic establishment circled the wagons and blocked any real primary from happening. They covered it up. So how exactly is that preserving democracy?
Now that the people have spoken, the left is doubling down on fear and hyperbole instead of asking themselves why they lost. But here in NY-23, we know exactly why they did: they got too extreme, too dishonest, and completely out of touch with real Americans. You reap what you sow.
The truth is, things are finally starting to feel like they’re on track again. We’re proud to have leaders like President Trump and Congressman Langworthy standing up for us and putting our values first. This isn’t the end of democracy–it’s the beginning of a new golden era, where the people are back in charge and sanity is being restored.
So to the protestors and the panic-peddlers: take a breath. You had your four years. Now it’s our turn to fix what you broke.
