To The Reader’s Forum:

I learned some interesting facts at the recent rally and since there were no reporters present, I thought I’d mention a couple. The first was that Jamestown’s school system receives $1.4 million from the Department of Education and much of that goes to help children from lower income families, to help them succeed. If you’re not in favor of that, remember the quote, “If you think education’s expensive, try ignorance.”

A veteran spoke about the decrease in federal funding. A woman with cystic fibrosis spoke. Without health insurance and/or Social Security and Medicare, to help with medication, she would die. Trump may not care, Musk may not care, but we should all care about the people in our community.
