Mailman Goes Above And Beyond For Area Resident

To The Reader’s Forum:
I would like to give a big thank you to the mailman who services Avalon Boulevard.
He recently noticed my sister-in-law’s mailbox filling up and newspapers as well. Terrible snow and ice days. Knowing she lives alone he contacted the police to come and check on her. To her surprise two officers came to make sure she was OK. They collected her mail, had a chat and left.
She was embarrassed but so appreciative of what took place. She couldn’t take the chance of falling. Now that was some great compassion and service. So thank you very much!
