Who Are We To Judge?
To The Reader’s Forum:
In recent weeks, there have been guest essays in the P-J delineating the sins of Donald Trump.
Who are we to judge another person? Do we know the heart of any one else? Only God knows our true heart. Only God knows who has or hasn’t been reconciled to Him! If you read and understand the Bible I think you will find more than a few grievous sinners who repented and became great Saints!
Donald Trump may or may not have read the Bible; how are we to know? He might not know chapter and verse but he does know compassion. He does have respect for life from birth to natural death. He does know that we must not tamper with God’s choice of gender.
Those who can recite Chapter and Verse must not understand what they know or they would not be judging others. Mr. Trump was found guilty by a jury of his peers – peers my eye. A scam trial by unscrupulous judges and lawyers and a hand picked jury. Don’t be surprised when the verdict is overturned.
Whether you love or hate Donald Trump you must admit that through his term in office and beyond to the present he has been targeted by the left with about everything known to man to destroy his reputation and his life. Isn”t it time to stand back and say ” Holy Cow, what have we done to a fellow American? If he is a sinner, and aren’t we all, he must be in good company. Take a look around you! As a lifelong devout Catholic I try to leave the judging to the Lord; it is not my lot to judge. Look at the merits of the candidates rather than perceived shortcomings.
