Zechariah Johnathan Abram

Zechariah Johnathan Abram

When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think that we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here inside your heart.” – David Romano

Zechariah passed away the morning of April 8, 2025. Known as Zach or Zachie by his family and friends, Zach was a generous and dedicated young man, always there with his quiet strength to lend a hand to everyone in his life whenever they needed him. Compassionate and thoughtful, he lived his life as Jesus lived, never once complaining about anything, always leading with kindness, and never asking for anything in return. He had the greatest of imaginations, often off on amazing adventures, creating worlds, and leading campaigns with his nieces and nephews. He would always give them a lift on his shoulders whenever they asked, no matter how tired he was. He loved going on long walks, riding the four-wheeler, taking a drive, and playing video games. He especially loved playing card and board games with his family.

Zechariah is survived by his loving parents, Brian C. and Elizabeth A. Abram and 10 siblings, Lucas Abram (Brianna Bennett), Gretchen (Joshua) Schauman, Hannah Abram, Michael Abram, David I (Megan) Abram, Katherine Abram, Elizabeth T. Abram, Noah Abram, Elijah Abram, and Abigail Abram; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Virginia Penhollow as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David M Abram and Erika Abram; his uncles, Dennis Abram and Troy Little; his aunt, Eileen Beichner; his brothers, Patrick Abram, and Gabriel M Abram; and his sister, Claire Abram.

Zechariah’s life, lived everyday with gentleness and devotion, was a precious gift to all who knew him. While his passing leaves a profound sense of loss, his memory will be forever cherished and never forgotten within the hearts of those who loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025 in St. Mary’s of Lourdes Church, 25 E. Chautauqua St., Mayville, NY. Rev. David Tourville will be celebrant. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Oishei Children’s Hospital.
