Virginia M. Boozel

She was born on July 15, 1934, in Corry, PA a daughter of the late Dewayne Vincent and Alta Marie Brewer McCray.

Virginia was a 1952 graduate of Corry High School and was employed by the State Fish Hatchery, Corry, PA for two and a half years. On Sept. 12, 1953, she married her husband George H. Boozel at the McCray Methodist Church, Concord Township, Corry, PA and were married for 62 years, prior to his death in April of 2016. She helped on the farm until retirement. At age 40 she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduating in 1977. She was employed by Corry Memorial Hospital for five years and worked many years in Home Health Care.

Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. On April 1956 she became a member of the Findley Lake United Methodist Church where she served many years in S.S. and Church positions.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Boone and Debra TeCulver. Virginia is survived by her son Mark Boozel and her son-in-law Jeff TeCulver, both of Clymer, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Rachael Rosenberg (Todd), Andy Boozel, (Bridget), Scott TeCulver (Megan), Taylor TeCulver (Elisa), Kelli Eimers (Ben) and Erika Boone (Oscar). Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Findley Lake United Methodist Church, 2862 North Road, Findley Lake, NY on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 6 to 8 P.M. and are invited to attend funeral services there on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be in West Mina Cemetery.
