Susan K. Casel

She was born on May 22, 1951, to loving parents, Elwood and Joanne (Brown) Reynolds, in Warren PA. She graduated from Warren Area High School in 1969 and soon moved to Jamestown, NY, where she made her life with her husband, Joseph Casel, and raised their four sons. Later in life, she attended and graduated from Jamestown Business College, and held many positions as an administrative assistant, including at JBC and Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency, before retiring in 2016.

Sue will be remembered as a loving and kind person, who gave the best hugs, and was treasured by all who knew her. Her passion in life was as a mother and later as a grandmother, and she was truly the best at both. Her family brought her the most joy and her time was spent cooking and enjoying meals with her loved ones. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, musical instruments, sing, and danceÃ-nothing brought her greater joy than being with her grandchildren. Sue very much enjoyed nature, spending time around the campfire or at the beach. She loved cheering on the Buffalo Bills as well.

She is survived by her four sons, Joseph J. Casel, Jeremiah J. (Miranda) Casel, both of Jamestown, Joshua E. (Crystal) Casel of Frewsburg, Justin M. Casel of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren, Jacey, Evie, Jaxton, Audrey, Jagger, Scarlett, Warren, Cora, JuliAnna, and Jemma Casel; one great-grandchild, Oaklyn Toney; three siblings, Lynne (Tom) Stites, Dan (Lou Ann) Reynolds, and Corky Reynolds; as well as numerous nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband.

A service will be held on Friday, May 2, at 1:30 pm at Lind Funeral Home, Jamestown, NY. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 1, at the funeral home.
