Perscilla M. (Calanni) Cosme, 68, of Jamestown passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 29, 2025, in UPMC Chautauqua.

A lifelong area resident she was born Jan. 13, 1957, the daughter of the late Sebastian “Busty” and Perscilla “Tillie” Latona Calanni.

Perscilla was a 1975 graduate of Jamestown High School and was a member of the JHS Phi Del Sorority. In earlier years she was employed by Super Duper, Truck-Lite, tended bar at the former Grog Shop Bar, the Lakeview Hotel and Yellow Submarine in Celoron. She also was an Avon Sales Rep and Party Light Candles Rep. Prior to retirement Perscilla was employed by Cummins Engine.

Perscilla will be remembered as a caring, friendly person always willing to help someone in need. Her grandchildren met the world to her and they were her lifeline. She had a contagious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, decorating, antiques, her cobalt blue collection, shopping, taking trips to the ocean, avid Buffalo Bills Fan, loved listening to the Rolling Stones and attending concerts. Perscilla cherished her Italian Heritage through cooking and holiday traditions. She had a heart of Gold and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving is her husband David Cosme whom she married Sept. 9, 2009 in Niagara Falls, NY; her daughter Lindsay Calanni of Jamestown; her beloved grandchildren Honeesty, Emarrion, Kaymani, Niy’ Anna, Niy’ Leigha, Khi’ Leyha; her step children David (Nichole) Cosme Jr. of Orchard Park, Joshua Cosme, Irene Cosme both of Dunkirk; seven step-grandchildren: Isiah Cosme, Jordan Lockette , Anthony Cosme, Alianna Cosme, Maleah Cosme, Carter Cosme, Lorenzo Cosme; two sisters Kathleen (Bruce) Anderson of Parrish, FL, Ethelyn (David) Supples of Jamestown; her brother Russell Calanni; nieces/ nephews Kimberly (Aaron) Scoma, Russell (Michelle) Calanni Jr., Dayna (Chris) McCumber, Megan Calanni.

She was preceded in death by her father Sebastian “Busty” Calanni on March 13, 2010 and her mother Perscilla Calanni on Feb. 28, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home.

Perscilla’s funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Don DeAngelo of Faith Out Reach Center Church will officiate.

Memorials may be donated to Lindsey Calanni, 51 Tower St., Jamestown, NY 14701 for a fund to be established for Perscilla’s grandchildren.
