Mark Gustav Erikzon, 58, of Charlotte, North Carolina formerly of Jamestown, New York, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on Saturday, April 5 2025.
Mark was born Sept. 27, 1966 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The son of the late Charlotte and Lennart Erikzon.
Mark grew up in Jamestown, New York. He graduated from Southwestern Central School and attended Jamestown Community College. After college Mark served his country in the U.S. Navy where he served during the Gulf war 1986-1991.
Mark was employed by Mauser packing solution as their maintenance manager in Harrisburg, North Carolina.
Mark’s greatest joy was his family and being a grandpa to his first grandchild. He also loved working on home improvement projects and working in his garage on various motorized vehicles, four wheelers, motorcycles and cars. Mark also loved baking his favorite Swedish cream wafers to carry on with his Swedish family tradition during the holidays.
Mark will be remembered for the joy he brought,the kindness he gave so freely,and the incredible way he loved his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his loving wife Alyssa Erikzon; his daughters Kendall (Joseph) Marra, Amanda Erikzon (Patrick), Lauren Erikzon; stepsons, Adrian Matuck Urbina, Gabriel Matuck Urbina; a grandson Leonardo Marra; and his sister
Birgitta Anderson (Rod); and his niece, and nephews Dalton, Collin and Sophia Barmore.
A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 26 2025 at Forest Lawn East Cemetery at 11 am in Matthews, North Carolina.
