Jennifer A. Short

Jennifer A. Short, 44, of Jamestown, formerly of Panama, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian. She was born in Corry, PA on Oct. 24, 1980, to Dale Tremblay and Judy Burdic.

Jen graduated from Panama Central School where she was a natural athlete, including achieving all-star status in softball as well as dominating the volleyball court. She worked tirelessly right out of high school to achieve many amazing milestones.

Dr. Welsh’s dental office held Jen’s vibrant smile in high regards as a dental assistant and an eventual office manager. Truly, she was sunshine in human form. God broke the mold after He made her. Jen’s smile could power cities; moreover, her childlike giggle could warm anyone’s soul and brighten every day. It was impossible not to laugh when you were in Jen’s presence.

Jen was vibrant, healthy, and active. She loved cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders, listening to Pink Floyd, taking walks, and riding her bike. Mowing her lawn was a favorite activity because she was able to exercise and work on her tan simultaneously. Golf became one of Jen’s most enjoyable hobbies throughout adulthood.

Summer and sunshine soothed Jen’s soul, while she also adored listening to and watching a good thunderstorm roll in.

Jen loved her daughters from the deepest depths of her soul. She was a constant friend to many and a loving daughter who adored her mother. Inspiration typified Jen’s existence. To know her was to love her.

Warm summer days will remind so many others of Jen; further, when you smell freshly cut grass or have an exceptional cup of coffee, Jen’s spirit will live on with you.

Jen’s bursts of energy and sweet, amazing soul will be deeply missed yet forever cherished by her mom, Judy Burdic; her dad, Dale Tremblay; her daughters, Reese Ann Short and Cameron Allison Short; her brother, Dale Tremblay, Jr.; her stepbrother, Conner Tremblay; her companion, Mike Osgood; her best friends and sisters by choice, Jamie, Melissa, and Mindy; many aunts and uncles; and numerous friends.

Jen was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ken and Joyce Bergman; her paternal grandparents, David and Doris Tremblay; and her stepfather, James Burdic.

The light in the world was Jen, and her loss created shock waves through those who knew and loved her best. When you find yourself missing her in moments of grief, take some comfort in knowing our beautiful angel is at peace.

Jen’s family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 2-4pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. A gathering will follow the visitation as to be announced by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607, or to a charity of your choice.
