Dawn M. Weatherbee

Dawn M. Weatherbee
Dawn M. Weatherbee, 55, of West Seneca, formerly of Jamestown, passed away following a courageous battle with Epidermolysis Bullosa at UPMC Chautauqua on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was born in Jamestown to Linda Taylor and the late Marvin Lawson on Nov. 14, 1969.
A woman dedicated to science and the medical field, Dawn achieved both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and spent many of her years as a science teacher. Most recently, she found passionate joy in working as a lab technician at Roswell Park. Dawn was a constant achiever and stayed true to her profession within the science discipline.
Strength typified Dawn as a daughter, mother, and friend. She was always present to watch her girls play softball and never failed to take care of others throughout her illness. Gordon Ramsey was among her favorite cooking show chefs, and she loved time with her dog, Zoey.
Dawn’s light will be carried on by her mother, Linda Taylor of Jamestown; her daughters, Julie (Eric) Hinterberger of West Seneca and Rebecca Hinterberger of Lackawanna; her grandchildren, Jaxson Shields and Aliyah Reese; her siblings, Jamie Hamm, Janel Warner, and Scott Lawson; as well as many nieces, and nephews.
Besides her father, Marvin, Dawn was preceded in death by her grandmother with whom she was especially close.
In keeping with her wishes, no services or visitation will be held.
Memorials in Dawn’s name may be made to debra of America, 1560 Central Avenue, Suite 433, St. Petersburg, FL 33705.
