Calvin “Eugene” Byers

Calvin “Eugene” Byers, 62, of Warren, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at his residence.

Eugene was born Oct. 27, 1962, in Titusville, PA, the son of the late Calvin Wesley Byers and Nora Rebecca (Kerns) Byers, who survives. He was a 1983 graduate of Warren Area High School. He was employed as a Dump Truck Driver for Cable Excavating in Russell.

Eugene was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, 4 Wheeling, birdwatching, and beach combing for sea glass with his wife, Lori. He enjoyed working on his lifted Toyota trucks. He was a very giving person to his family, friends and even strangers. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all.

In addition to his mother, Eugene is survived by his wife, Lori Ann (Ford) Byers, whom he married on Nov. 7, 1987, in Warren; two children, Ashley Rebecca Byers and David Wesley Byers, at home; siblings, Gary Byers and wife Stacey of Sheffield, Mary Catherine Yunker and husband Ralph of Leeper, PA, Robert Adams and fiancé Robbie of Tylersburg, PA, Jack Byers and wife Marcy of Sheffield, Tom Byers and wife Jen of Warren, and Kelly Smith and husband Brad of Dayton, PA; brother-in-law, Eugene “Chicken” Wolbert; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Eugene was preceded in death by sister, Linda Wolbert.

A Memorial Service for Eugene will be held at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses, 201 Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA, on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 2 pm, with Samuel Andersen, officiating.
