Beverly A. Ransom

Beverly A. Ransom
Beverly A. Ransom, 88, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Wiltsie Road in Frewsburg, NY passed away peacefully on March 31 at the Life Care Center of Melbourne. She had been living there with her husband, Paul, who preceded her in death this past December.
In 1991, Beverly and Paul moved from Frewsburg to Rockledge, FL where they lived for over 30 years at Americana Resorts. They later moved to The Fountains of Melbourne before illness required their move to Life Care.
After a long career at Weber-Knapp in Jamestown, Beverly continued working once settled in Florida at L3Harris until her retirement at age 70.
Born on Nov. 11, 1936, in Jamestown, NY, Beverly was the daughter of Margaret (Eckman) and Ernest Billquist. She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara (Billquist) Parker.
Beverly met Paul on a blind date in Jamestown and they were married on his birthday, April 8, 1955, in Hurlbut Memorial Church at the Chautauqua Institution. This year would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary. It brings comfort to know she chose to reunite with him to celebrate together in Heaven.
Beverly was a devoted daughter, a cherished friend, and above all, a loving mother. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia of Paso Robles, CA, Jeffrey and his wife Marie of Rochester, NY, and Jason and his wife Rebecca of West Melbourne, FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren, McKenzie (Nick) Colon of Rochester, NY, Chaz Darrow of San Francisco, CA, and Riley and Reese Ransom of West Melbourne, FL, as well as two great-granddaughters, RaeLynn and Tegan Colon.
A joint Celebration of Life for both Beverly and Paul will be held at 2 p.m. on April 25, 2025, at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne, Florida.
