Rev. Lionel B. McCauley, 81, of Jamestown went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 10, 2025.

He was born November 14, 1943 in Oil City, PA, the son of the late Lionel C. and Violet R. Berlin McCauley.

Lionel was a 1962 graduate of Oil City High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Toccoa Falls University, GA. He went to Seminary at Colgate Rochester receiving his Masters Degree in Theology and Bible Studies.

Rev. McCauley served as a Christian & Missionary Alliance Pastor in Pottstown, PA, Bloomsburg, PA Scullton, PA, Critchfield, PA, Curwensville, PA, and Meadville, PA. He served as a United Methodist Pastor in Buffalo, NY, Pekin, NY, and Clymer and North Clymer, NY.

He was a member of the Der Kobblers Car Club, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Falconer Rod & Gun Club and Train Collectors Association. Lionel greatly enjoyed attending car and train shows, going for long drives through the countryside, and watching comedy television and movies. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, he relished telling jokes to his children and grandchildren, and impersonating Jacques Clouseau from the Pink Panther movies.

Surviving is his wife Constance A. “Connie” McCauley whom he married August 18, 1963 in South Carolina; two daughters: Dr. Susan McCauley, Cathleen (Dr. Mark) Lee all of Palmer, Alaska; a son Lionel S. McCauley of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe; five grandchildren: Meika Lee, London Lee, Amara McCauley, Hatcher Del Duca, Sunlyn Del Duca, and his brother Rev. Jerry (Mary Lou) McCauley of Lake Placid, FL.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Zion Covenant Church, 520 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown. Rev. Rick Miller will officiate. Burial will be in West Spring Creek Congregational Cemetery, West Spring Creek, PA.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Falconer Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Der Kobblers Car Club or Falconer Public Library.
