Linda L. (Hamilton) TeWinkle
Linda TeWinkle of Clymer, NY passed away on Monday, March 3rd, of this calendar year, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA after a courageous battle with lengthy illness. She was 70 years old. Born in Westfield, NY in December of 1954, Linda was the daughter of Earl and Esther Hamilton of Sherman NY. She attended Sherman Central School until her graduation in 1973, and then attended Jamestown Community College. She met her soulmate and future husband, David, in 1973, they married in 1975, and the two would have been married for fifty years this coming June.
Linda served for multiple years as a care giver for many young minds in the Clymer Community. She served as a volunteer Girl Scout Leader, a 4-H Leader, volunteered at the Clymer Library and, also, at Clymer Central School. She attended The Compass Church in Corry, PA, and she enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing puzzles, and spending time baking, and doing crafts, with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, David TeWinkle, her daughter, Cyndie (Bob) Feemster, and their children Hayden, Charleigh, Ellery, Kaynan, and Makynli of Lenoir, NC, and she is also survived by her son Bradley TeWinkle, also of Lenoir, NC, her sisters Ruth (Duane) Braun , Jane (Steve) Tenpas, Sally (J. Paul) Lombardo, and her brother Fred (Kelly) Hamilton, also brothers-in-law Scott (Coralie) TeWinkle, and Steve (Elisha) TeWinkle, and sister-in-law Diane (Robert) Eggleston. She also leaves behind her and David’s faithful canine companion, Buffy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all who loved her very much.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Esther Hamilton of Sherman, NY, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Charlotte TeWinkle of Clymer, NY, and her son Kristopher Lynn, of Clymer, NY and the U. S. Navy, who passed in April of 2006.
The family is planning a Celebration of Linda’s Life at The Compass Church on April 22nd. Memorials may be made to the Kristopher TeWinkle Scholarship Fund at Clymer Central School, or Community Connections of Findley Lake.
