Donald J. “Tiny” Robison

Donald J. “Tiny” Robison

Donald J. “Tiny” Robison, 68, of Jamestown, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born in Erie, PA on May 17, 1956, to the late Richard “Dick” and Helen Harmon Robison.

A man who never missed an opportunity to tell a dad joke, Tiny graduated from Northwestern High School and later achieved his associate’s degree from Jamestown Community College. He spent over two decades working at Chautauqua Hardware until their closure; following, he retired as a computer IT specialist at BOCES.

Tiny’s compassionate soul was grounded in the Lord. The longest serving deacon at Fluvanna Community Church, Tiny was the go-to sound and video man, also umpiring for the youth baseball and softball teams. Cooking was a favorable skill Tiny shared with many hungry hearts, including the youth center at church where the grill was truly, “Tiny’s grill.”

The kindness Tiny impressed upon all he encountered will soon not be forgotten. His caring essence will be remembered by his beloved wife, Nancy Elmeer Robison, whom he married December 23, 1978; his children, Kraig (Joy Murphy) Robison of Erie, PA and Lynnea E. (Staff Sergeant David) Miller of Missouri; his grandchildren, Vincent C. Murphy, Demetri Robison, Lucy Robison, Brandon Miller, and Seth Miller; his siblings, Kathy Vaux-Paden, Robert Robison, and John Robison; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Besides his parents, Tiny was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Terri Robison.

The funeral service for Tiny will be at 11am on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Fluvanna Community Church. Reverend Todd Wentworth and Reverend Dayle Keefer will officiate. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 3-6pm Monday, March 31, 2025, at Lind Funeral Home. There will also be a time of visitation for one hour prior to the funeral service at Fluvanna Community Church on Tuesday from 10-11am. Burial will be in Fluvanna Cemetery.
