Ruth M. Austin, 91, formerly of Sinclairville, NY passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Heritage Village in Gerry, NY. Born on June 15, 1933 in Johnsonburg, PA to Byron and Lillian Mowrey. She graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1951.
Ruth went onto working at Truck Lite in Falconer for over 25 years before retiring in 1995. She enjoyed knitting and birdwatching.
She is predeceased by her husband Frank E. Austin, a daughter Branda Austin, five brothers and two sisters.
Ruth is survived by her sons David (the late Lynn) Austin of Sinclairville, NY, James (Kim) Austin of Englewood, FL, Larry Austin of Gerry, NY, her grandchildren Zachary Austin, Dakota Austin, Layla D. (Mark) Carlson, Latoyia Knight, her four great grandchildren, and her son in law Jay Stearns of Cherry Creek.
Ruth’s family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Heritage Village for the wonderful care they provided.
