Russell P. Harrison, 74, of Great Valley, NY died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 7, 2025 at home.

Born July 8, 1950 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Victor Harrison and Cora Burlin Emborsky. He was married on Aug. 12, 1972 in Salamanca, NY to the former Toni Foster, who survives.

He attended Salamanca High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Japan.

Russell had been employed as a supervisor with AVM Signor, Ellicottville, NY for over 25 years and later Philadelphia Furniture, Salamanca, NY.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, socializing at the clubs, and will be remembered for putting smiles on people’s faces. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Russell was a member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Penny (Shane Parker) Newark, Great Valley, NY, Peggy (Nathan) Root, Randolph, NY; a granddaughter, Samantha Harrison, Cattaraugus, NY; five grandsons, Timothy Lamberson, Salamanca, NY, Harrison, and Alexander Newark, both of Great Valley, NY; David, and Allen Root, both of Randolph, NY; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a son-in-law, Tim Lamberson, Salamanca, NY.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Lamberson, and two brothers, Dennis Harrison and Victor “Lee” Harrison.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 875 Greentree Road, Building 7, Pittsburgh, PA 15220.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, NY.
