Randolph –Rosemary “Rosie” Swan, 79, of Route 394, Randolph, passed away, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at home of natural causes.
She was born October 25, 1945 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Lester Gerald and Marjorie Virginia (Hitchcock) Swan.
She was a 1964 graduate of Randolph Central School and had retired in 2009 from Truck-Lite in Falconer after 37 years of service.
She was a member, deacon and elder of the Randolph United Presbyterian Church and a member of the Randolph Lions Club, a social member of the Randolph American Legion Post 181 and Coldspring Fire Department. She was currently a Town of Randolph Election Inspector, Board of Directors for the Randolph Historical Society, Red Hatters Society and volunteered for Meal-On-Wheels and at the former Randolph Manor.
She enjoyed feeding her birds, camping, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and traveling.
She is survived by a brother; James Robert Swan Covington, Pa., a sister; Susan Kathleen Peirce and her late husband George of Cape Coral, FL. Three nieces and nephews, Cinnamon Becker, Renee’ Kelly and Scott Swan and nine great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lester “Buster” and Marjorie
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday March 8th from the Randolph United Presbyterian Church, from where the family will be present to receive relatives and friends one hour prior from 10-11 AM. Inurnment will be in the East Randolph Cemetery.
