Nancy L. Wymer

Nancy L. Wymer, 91, formerly of 7 Sampson St., passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025 at Kinzua Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Warren. She was born Nov. 3, 1933 in Salamanca, NY, a daughter of the late Arniel R. and Marion F. Widrig Wymer.

Nancy was employed for 15 years by Corning Glass in Bradford, then with her son who owned the former Bonsey’s Restaurant, and retired from Jamestown Metal Products. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church.

Nancy’s favorite times were spent with her family. She organized many family reunions so the extended family could spend time together. She loved traveling and went on many trips with her friends at the Celoron Senior Citizens. Nancy was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing in the Jamestown ladies league for many years.

She was a kind and caring person and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Surviving is a daughter, Sharon Beane of Irving, PA and two brothers, Terry Wymer (Roberta) of Olean, NY and Timothy Wymer (Sue)of Limestone, NY; six grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and nineteen great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Bradley L. Swatt, Jr.; two daughters, Joyce E. Swatt and Susan M. Barr; son-in-law, James Beane; grandson, Bradley A. Swatt; great-grandson, Matthew Swatt; brother and sister-in-law, Nolan and Judith Wymer, Sr.; and a sister, Rosalie Demus.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1st in the Lind Funeral Home, led by the Rev. Mike Childs. Friends will be received from 12 to 1 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home on March 1st. A celebration of Life will follow at the Celoron Legion from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
