Carmela Margaglio
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmela Margaglio, who peacefully left us on February 13, 2025, at the age of 97. Carmela was born on October 29, 1927, and lived a full life devoted to her family, her faith, and the many joys she found in life.
Carmela was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, and her brother, Sebastian.
She is survived by her brother Frank, her three children, Sebastian Margaglio (married to Teresa), Maria Pepi (widowed from Maurizio), and Theresa Mazzurco (married to Carmelo). Her legacy lives on through her seven grandchildren: Michael Margaglio (married to Kemper), Matthew Margaglio (married to Claire), Michelle Castille (married to Corey), Peter Pepi, Clarissa Anderson (engaged to Mick Coddington), Christopher Pepi, and Antonino Mazzurco (married to Holly). She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren: Bradley, Jaclyn, Bryana, Mallory, Remy, Molly, Alexis, and Matteo, and one great great grandson, Crew along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A devout Catholic, Carmela was a Eucharistic Minister for 25 years, serving her church with unwavering dedication. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she shared her love for God and her community with all who knew her.
Carmela was a woman of many passions. She loved gardening, knitting, cooking, and baking, always creating a warm and inviting space for family and friends to gather. She cherished traveling and exploring new places, but above all, she treasured the time spent socializing with her loved ones. Her warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Carmela. Your legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know you.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, February 17, 2025, in Holy Apostles Parish St John Catholic Church.
Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4-7 pm Sunday, February 16, 2025, in the Lind Funeral Home.
