Ann Mary DeMeyere Damon
Ann Mary DeMeyere Damon, 85, of Panama passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Fairfax, Virginia following a brief illness. Ann was born on April 9, 1939, in Salamanca, New York to Albert and Viola Meek DeMeyere.
Ann was a lifelong resident of the region and a communicant of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Panama. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who cherished her family deeply.
Ann is survived by her three children, Craig Damon of Panama, NY, Cheryl (John) Robson of Gainesville, VA, and Lynn Damon of Buffalo, NY, seven grandchildren: Crystalyn, Ben, Jordan, Jonathan, Noel (Catherine), Ethan, and Aliya; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Sally (Jim) Brochetti, James (Dianne) DeMeyere, Gary (Rose) DeMeyere, and Dianne (Tom) Harrington.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Damon, and her infant brother, Randy DeMeyere.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Panama, NY, on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
Burial will take place at Grant Cemetery in Niobe, NY, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life at the family home in Niobe/Panama, NY.
