Ronald “Ron” F. Littlejohn
Ronald Francis Littlejohn, 88, of Lakewood, went to be with the Lord and his wife on January 11, 2025. Ron was at peace and comfortable. He was able to see his grandchildren this past Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Ron was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 19, 1936, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Shubert) Littlejohn. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with his Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1958 and IUP with his Master’s degree in Education in 1973. He began his teaching career as a high school teacher at Conemaugh Township School District in Davidsville, PA. This is where he met his wife, Judy. They were married September 7, 1963, and moved to Jamestown the following summer when Ron took a job at Southwestern High School. In his three decades of teaching and coaching, he touched many students and athletes’ lives.
Ron spent the last year and a half of his life at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook, PA, close by his daughter and family. He made many new friends and was well liked in the community. Other residents and staff loved talking to him and would always compliment his blue eyes.
Ron is survived by his sons James (Mary) Littlejohn of Orlando, FL, Matthew (Patricia) Littlejohn of Arlington, VA, and a daughter Elizabeth (Carl) Siewert of Downingtown, PA. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren: Jaclyn (Adam) Looper, Christina (Becky) Sausser, Katie Siewert, Alyson, James, Francesca, and Alexander Littlejohn, Scoty (Bridgett) Flynn, and Amanda (Nicholas) Dykes, along with five great grandchildren: Carson, Dresden, Trace, Ronan, and Maddox. Ron is also survived by his cousins June Balish and Jimmy, Janet, Al, Henry and Joe Shubert, and brothers-in-law Alan (Judy) Dinning and David (Nancy) Dinning.
