Phillip Pascatore

Phillip Pascatore

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved first-born son, Phillip Pascatore.

Formerly of Randolph, and Kennedy, NY, he was born in Jamestown on April 30, 1970. Phillip is survived by his parents, Peter and Sonja Pascatore of Jamestown; his brother, Paul Pascatore of Ocala FL; his sister, Amanda (Jon) Pascatore-Schmidt and nephew Liam of Gainesville FL; and his sister, Monica (Jon Leo) Pascatore; and nieces Eva and Helge Bridge-Pascatore of Catonsville, MD. He is also survived by his wife, Nadine Sanborn Pascatore, to whom he was a devoted husband for over 30 years; uncle, Anthony Pascatore of Jamestown; aunt and uncle, Linda and Roy Franson of California; aunt and uncle, Winnie and Milton Franson of Liverpool, NY; and cousins, Becky Franson of Liverpool, NY, Kristina Bland of Gouverneur, NY, Scott Franson of Nags Head, NC, and Todd Franson of Adelphia, MD.

Phillip overcame many obstacles in his time with us but ultimately was taken away too soon by an inoperable tumor. He helped many cancer patients lead a more biblical lifestyle with a macrobiotic diet.

He was known to friends and family as a happy-go-lucky spirit, with a smile for everyone.

His interest for all things mechanical was evident early on as a Cub Scout, where he earned many badges and awards. This developed into a passion for electrical and mechanical systems, which ultimately earned Phillip the Boy Scouts’ highest award of Eagle Scout. As a nature and animal lover, he was always outside and always with his dogs. He was an avid skier (both on the hills and on the water) as well as a certified scuba diver. He loved his time at the lake.

Phillip is a graduate of both Jamestown High School in 1988 and Jamestown Business College in 1990 with an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

He retired from the Jamestown Public School Transportation System to both spend time with family and time tinkering.

We will miss the joy you brought to our lives and to all those that were fortunate to know you. You were the wind beneath our wings.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25 in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
