Marie Alice Whiting (nee Fulmer) passed away on December 22, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona. She was born to Eva Wells Fulmer (Slater) and George W. Fulmer on December 18, 1938, in Jamestown, New York.
She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1957. She married her late husband, Donald A. Whiting, on June 29, 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, three generation grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her three children, Donald A. Whiting Jr. of Missouri, Brenda M. Whiting and Jeffrey A. Whiting, both of Arizona, and her sister Carol Parnell (husband Tracy), of Jamestown. She was blessed with a big family of seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, four nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews, and six great-great nieces and nephews. She was a beautiful soul who loved God, her family, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and shopping. She enjoyed reading, word searches, and watching TV, especially baseball. Holidays held at Marie’s house were full of love, food and laughter. To see her light up watching the kids play and family being all together was a site worthy of the Heavens. She was a caring, strong and loving woman who will be remembered for generations to come.
Marie was proceeded in death, besides her husband, by her daughter Linda Whiting, her sister Beverly Wallace, brothers Brad Fulmer and Richard Fulmer (wife Leah), and her niece Kimberly Lindell and Rachel Fulmer.
Her services will be held at Best Funeral Services in Peoria, Arizona on January 9, 2025, and she will be buried with her late husband Donald and their cherished dog Sammy at Resthaven Cemetery in Phoenix.
