Loris Jean Hill
Loris Jean (Bromley) Hill, 92, passed away Jan. 8, 2025.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1932 in Villenova, NY the daughter of the late Elmer and Gertrude (Towne) Bromley.
Loris was a 1950 graduate of Randolph Central School. She was a girl scout leader, an office employee at the former Curtice Brothers Canning Factory in South Dayton and Valley View Cheese in Leon. Loris was also co-owner with her husband Raymond of their Wholesale Flower Supply business in Leon, NY, for 19 years.
Loris enjoyed crocheting, working in the garden, family gatherings, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Hill who passed away Aug. 17, 2010. They were married on Oct. 14, 1950. She was also preceded in death by her son Paul R. Hill a sister Ruth Milliman of Broken Arrow, Ok and a brother Kenneth Bromley of Leon, NY.
Loris is survived by one daughter Ellen (Dan) Merchant of Jamestown; her grandchildren Kelly (Jim Chitwood) Hill of Forestville, Adam (Nicole) Hill of Leon, Amy (Bob) Daneke of Atlanta, GA and Michael Merchant of Buffalo; her great grandchildren Justine (Matt), Chelsea and Braden Chitwood all of Forestville, Madalynn, Gabriella Tabitha and Aveline Hill all of Leon, Jarrett Myers of South Dayton, Andrea and William Daneke of Atlanta, GA: her great-great-grandchildren Kinnsley, Rosaleigh, Liam and Reagan all of Forestville.
Interment will be in Treat Memorial Cemetery in the spring.
