Helen A. Cronk, 92, of Hultquist Place, Jamestown, formerly of Falconer passed away Saturday (December 28, 2024) in UPMC Chautauqua.

She was born April 9, 1932 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Burton and Alice Sonnleitner Cronk.

Helen was a graduate of Fillmore High School. She was a graduate of Craig Collon School of Nursing earning her Registered Nursing License. Helen was employed for a short time at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago as a Registered Nurse. She then attended Houghton College and earned her Bachelors Degree in Education. Helen was employed by the Falconer Central School at Temple Elementary School as a third grade teacher for 24 years retiring in 1988.

Helen had a strong Christian Faith, and she would often talk about when she accepted her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at age 8 with her friends. She was a member of the Peace Wesleyan Church in Falconer having served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was a member of the Best Years Fellowship Club and Bible Study Group. Helen also volunteered at WCA Hospital during her retirement.

She is survived by a sister Jean Griffey of Venice, Florida; two nieces: Deborah L. (Mike) Heaven, Cindy J. (Jeff) Dickens; two nephews: Sam Cronk and James Cronk.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother David Cronk.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Claydon pastor of Peace Wesleyan Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore, NY.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the funeral service Friday in the funeral home.
